Anti-Doping

Clean sport. Informed choices. Lasting progress.

Educational notice: General information, not individual medical advice or anti-doping clearance. Check current official rules and seek advice for your own circumstances.

Clean-Sport Resource Center

Start with the right source. Use the official resources below to explore rules, medication status and supplement risks. Your federation or national anti-doping organization can clarify which requirements apply to you.

Respect the effort. Learn the rules. Protect fair competition.

Why clean sport matters

Sport is built on effort, respect and trust. The value of a result comes from the preparation behind it and the fairness of the competition. At labszphc, we encourage a training culture that respects both personal goals and the rules of sport.

Our message is straightforward: take time to learn, ask questions and make informed decisions. A strong physique or an impressive performance is not evidence that a product, method or recommendation is suitable for you.

Know which rules apply

Start with your sport, competition level and the organization responsible for your anti-doping programme. The WADA Prohibited List distinguishes between substances and methods prohibited at all times, in competition, or in particular sports. Check the version that applies to the date of use.

A medication’s status may depend on its ingredient, route of administration and other conditions. Do not infer permission from the fact that a product can be purchased legally.

Official resource: WADA Prohibited List.

Understand athlete responsibility

Under Code-based anti-doping rules, athletes are responsible for prohibited substances found in their samples. For a presence violation, proof of an intention to cheat is not required. This is commonly described as strict liability. Intent and fault can still affect the consequences under the applicable rules.

Advice from a teammate, seller or coach does not replace a rules check. Seek guidance from your responsible anti-doping organization when a situation is unclear.

Medication and therapeutic use exemptions

Tell your doctor and pharmacist that anti-doping rules apply to you. Check the exact medicine, ingredients and route of administration. Global DRO provides medication-status information for supported markets; a missing result is not confirmation that a medicine is permitted.

A medically necessary treatment involving a prohibited substance or method may require a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE). Ask your responsible anti-doping organization about eligibility, timing and recognition. Applications are not submitted directly to WADA.

Do not delay emergency treatment. Tell the treating team about your athlete status, keep medical records and contact the responsible organization about any follow-up requirements. Do not change prescribed treatment based on this page.

Official resources: WADA TUE guidance and USADA TUE and emergency-treatment guidance.

Supplement risks and product claims

Supplements may contain undeclared or prohibited ingredients. A convincing label, online review or athlete endorsement does not establish anti-doping safety. Global DRO does not cover dietary supplements, and searching individual label ingredients cannot certify a supplement.

Independent sport-specific certification can reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. If considering a supplement, review the need with a qualified professional and verify the exact product and relevant batch in the certification provider’s records.

A product-authenticity check is not an anti-doping clearance. It does not establish whether a product is permitted in your sport or appropriate for your health.

Official resources: USADA Supplement Connect and Global DRO FAQs.

Before-use checklist

Use these questions to prepare a conversation with your medical team or anti-doping organization. Completing the checklist does not certify a product.

  1. Identify: What is the exact product, medicine or proposed method?
  2. Clarify: Why is it being considered, and who is advising you?
  3. Check: Which sport rules and current official resources apply?
  4. Ask: Is professional advice or a TUE required?
  5. Record: Keep labels, batch details, receipts and dated advice securely.
  6. Resolve: Obtain an authoritative answer before treating an uncertain status as permission.

Coaches, teams and training culture

We encourage coaches and training partners to welcome questions and respect an athlete’s decision to decline a product. Avoid pressure based on appearance, selection or the claim that “everyone uses it.”

Keep advice within your competence. Refer medication questions to qualified clinicians and rules questions to the responsible anti-doping organization. Build motivation around learning, consistency and fair competition.

Travel, testing and records

Before travelling, review your competition requirements, medication information and relevant contacts. Keep products identifiable and retain supporting documents. Do not assume that familiar brand names have identical formulations in every market.

If notified for testing, follow the authorized personnel’s instructions, ask about your rights and responsibilities, and retain the documents provided. Keep personal medical and purchase records secure; documentation supports a factual account but does not itself establish compliance.
